Job description: To design spacecraft structures

1. To plan and take a leading role in production of spacecraft structures design that meets all specified requirements
2. To sign all engineering drawings and design documentation ensuring that all design requirements are met
3. To ensure that agreed cost and schedule commitments for above are met
4. To present and justify the design at customer reviews
5. To work in a concurrent engineering team with stress, thermal, propulsion and manufacturing engineers with a good appreciation of their work
6. Carry out basic structure sizing and mass control calculations and determine the most appropriate design solution for the specific application
7. To supervise and provide on the job training to other structures design engineers.

Job description: Responsible for maintaining a high degree of CAD competence in spacecraft design & configuration within an engineering group or Project team environment. To provide good engineering design support on bids, studies & project work.

To liaise with all the internal & external customers in the product groups & business units.

Internal & External Relationships
Influence the project/product teams on design issues in their specialised field. Communicate effectively with other product groups/business units to share expertise. External Interact with CE MDO counterparts in France & Germany to maintain up to date knowledge of cad system & data transfer.

Job description: Reporting to the Central AIT (C-IT) UK Improvement and Industrialisation Manager and based in Stevenage, this role is responsible for the co-ordination and management of C-AIT UK Cost Engineering and Process Improvement reporting.

The duties include:

Generation and monthly reporting of C- AIT internal contract P & L account

Generation and reporting of C-AIT Process Improvement cost and milestone status

Co-ordination and generation of C-AIT UK monthly and quarterly business packs

Management and reporting of C-AIT UK capital expenditure requirements and approval and acquisition status

Analysis of C-AIT UK monthly overhead reports (spends, variances, forecasts)

Generation and circulation of C-AIT TABS closure status

Reconciliation of variances to above reports by working with respective members of the C-AIT UK management team

Working with C-AIT UK management for reporting of standardised capacity plans, cost models and general cost engineering systems

Managing and developing C-AIT UK cost engineering interfaces with C-AIT TLSE (head office)

Developing C-AIT UK relationships with other dependent inter company organisations as required.

Job description: Mechanical technician needed to join the CPS manufacturing team.

The main Activities will be for orbital welding of the propulsion system, pipe bending, and precision cleaning of the combine propulsion system.

Typical activities may also include preparation and adhesive bonding of mechanical and thermal components including strain gauges, testing and integrating initiators into Pyro-valves, assembly and integration of Thruster units, bonding and installation of light brackets, configuration and installation of propellant and pressurent tanks and main engine.

Minimum of 3 years experience of working within an aerospace industry is a must and prior knowledge of any aspects outlined above may also be advantageous, as well as being familiar with class 100,000 clean room practises.  Key Figures.

6. work with other agencies and organisations for local crime reduction and community safety e.g. police, courts, local authorities, health services, substance misuse/drug services, voluntary agencies, Youth Offending Teams.
