When holistic therapist, Annette Graham, needed a website she turned to Buntingford’s website designers, Marketing Zone. It was a real pleasure to put Annette’s small business, Harmony and Balance which focuses on personal wellbeing, into the spotlight with a new website.
Good foundations for web design
Annette had already built up a track record of making a real difference to her clients through holistic treatments and had constantly added to her training. But her old website was clunky, impossible to update and didn’t give a good impression. In contrast, her Facebook page was well used, with positive customer comments. Plus, Annette already had ideas about the identity for Harmony and Balance and a logo in soothing green.
Website with wellbeing at its heart
Marketing Zone was asked to come up with a website that properly portrayed the treatments provided by Harmony and Balance, could be easily updated and made it easy for clients to get in touch. Working with Annette, information about treatments which include reflexology, massage and reiki healing was clearly set out, along with prices. We reworked the logo to add depth and definition, and used the green colourway teamed with gold along with inspirational landscape photography to create an overall brand style for the new website that was both calming and uplifting.
A profile piece which Annette had originally written for her Facebook page was used to explain her journey into offering holistic treatments. The simplest way to show how well-qualified Annette is as a therapist was to display her very many certificates and diplomas. The wealth of positive client reviews meant that Marketing Zone was able to incorporate testimonials throughout the website design. These reviews give any potential new client a really good idea about the high quality of the treatments and the calibre of the therapist.

I was referred to Mark by a mutual friend at the beginning of the year.

One-page website design in WordPress
The website has been created in WordPress, making it easy to keep up to date. As part of our hosting package Marketing Zone will make regular updates, so there’s no need for anyone who runs a small business to learn these digital skills if they don’t want to.
Whereas traditional websites have a horizontal navigation bar at the top which allows you to click on different pages, for Harmony and Balance we’ve designed a simple, single-page website with side navigation that allows you to jump to the relevant information on the page. The design works well across all mobile devices and its very easy to see what’s on offer and how to get in touch.
