Every organisation needs to ensure the health and safety of its workforce. For many companies that entails having trained first-aiders amongst their staff. With years of safety experience and a start-up marketing package from Marketing Zone, Brian and Carla Thompson have launched Herts First Aid Training to provide a much-needed first aid training service to employers delivered by experienced trainers. The marketing launch pack comprised a brand name, logo, website, business cards and brochure, designed with our marketing know-how built-in.
What’s in a name?
The new first-aid training company will provide training courses across Hertfordshire. In time, the business aims to be well-known for what it does across the county. Marketing Zone advised the business owners against the humorous name they initially favoured since it carried the risk that potential customers would not see the joke with such a serious subject. Instead, we recommended a descriptive brand name to sum up their service and reflect their ambitions. The company name selected was: Herts First Aid Training.
How do I look?
A business concept remains just a good idea until it’s given an identity and launched in the market place. Once you have a business logo the idea becomes something tangible and real. For Herts First Aid Training we designed a logo and developed this into a complete brand identity across the website and on literature.
By taking into account style, colour, graphics and typography, the result is a dynamic identity which reflects the company’s expertise as training providers for this sector.
Find me online
Marketing Zone proposed the structure and contents for the company’s website. Then we designed and wrote the key messages and built the site. This included securing the web address: www.hertsfirstaidtraining.co.uk and setting up business emails using this website.
The website is just as easy to use whether customers access it from their PC or from a mobile or other device. It sets out the training courses which the company provides very clearly. There’s even a simplified system for booking training dates and making secure online payments.
Here’s my card
For a company of this kind, business cards are essential. They can help the business to stand out and ensure its remembered, as contacts hold on to their business cards. Marketing Zone used the reverse of the business card – which is so often left blank – to remind recipients of the courses Herts First Aid Training provides.
This is what we do
In order to promote the company’s training service, Marking Zone designed and wrote a six-page fold-out brochure. This can be sent out in response to enquiries, but more importantly it can be used as a leave behind, following face-to-face business meetings. Often budget approval requires the involvement of senior people in the company who won’t necessarily attend the meeting. The design and contents of the brochure clearly convey that Herts First Aid Training is a competent provider committed to providing first class training, which is exactly the reassurance these decision-makers demand.
For companies that operate in Hertfordshire, Herts First Aid Training is an obvious choice, when it comes to first aid training. With its website and brochure showcasing its services, business owner and lead trainer Brian Thompson is now able to meet key contacts face-to-face to set up training dates. Herts First Aid Training is well on its way towards building its reputation in Hertfordshire.
