As well as the obligatory tour and view of the main 750-seat parliament, Mark sat in on a meeting of the European Parliament’s Internal Market and Consumer Protection Committee. The issue of Consumer Protection Policy across Europe, together with cross-border challenges, was up for discussion. Amongst these challenges are the emergence of new technology, changes to consumption patterns, social exclusion and consumer confidence.  Driving towards consensus, different national views were presented, with the help of live translations to ensure clear understanding of the issues.
