It started with one microsite. Then another was needed. And now we’re very proud to have created and built a suite of mini-websites for The Chartered Institute of Marketing that complement the main website with local, event based or even industry based membership support. Some we update daily, while others have been designed for our client to manage.
The Chartered Institute of Marketing is the world’s largest community of professional marketers so we’re proud to have been chosen to provide cost-effective websites that are fast to deploy and very flexible. Membership of the Institute is organised into regions and each region is run by a voluntary Board who provide additional services to local members. The website for London was the first to be completed by Marketing Zone at the request of the Greater London Region Board. Originally developed in 2007, it’s been refreshed a few times since then and carries a huge amount of news for London members. This is content which we research and write.
More recently we’ve created microsites for two other regions – the South West and the Midlands. Here our challenge was to create strongly branded and compliant websites, with a local look and feel that could be readily updated by the regional teams.
Back in London, with a vibrant programme of activity for marketers, new websites were required to promote headline events. Each event website complements the central website’s booking capability with rich information for example, award entry mechanisms, photo galleries, speaker profiles and sponsor details – much like a campaign website. Marketing Zone developed the websites for the Women in Marketing Conference, The Pitch (team marketing challenge) and the Women in Marketing Awards.
Completing the suite we have created a sector specific microsite for the CIM’s Medical Marketing Group, with profiles of the committee members, medical marketing resources and details of how to join.
