We’re proud to say that Marketing Zone’s Mark Ganellin completed the Aspire Channel Swim. He clocked up an impressive 22 miles, the equivalent of swimming the English Channel. Although the challenge took place at his local pool!
The swimming challenge was organised by Aspire, the charity which supports people paralysed by spinal cord injuries. They dared swimmers to swim 22 miles in 12 weeks. Mark raced through the miles finishing in just 8 weeks. That’s a total of 708 lengths of the Ward Freman swimming pool in Buntingford, Hertfordshire and almost 90 lengths a week. Although Mark completed the swim more as a personal challenge than a major fundraiser, he still raised a tidy £100 for the charity, thanks to friends and family. If you feel inclined you can donate directly to Aspire here.
