I’m Lizzi and this week I’ll be working at Marketing Zone for work experience. My school, Freman College has arranged for all year 10 students to go to a real company to experience a working environment for a week. I chose to work here because I am interested in designing and advertising, so this week will help me to understand and learn how business’ work and the requirements for this type of job. This will be useful for the future as I would have a better understanding of the marketing business.
My day began with a briefing by Dee Twomey. I was given a project which told the set tasks I had to do which were to create a survey on how much local businesses know about Marketing Zone and find out if they are interested in help from them and also to research how companies that advertise sunglasses, promote their products on You Tube. I have completed the You Tube research task and have also set up an online survey with some help from Mark Ganellin. Then I moved on to writing this blog about my first day at Marketing Zone.
