In the name of charity and sheer competitiveness, Marketing Zone’s Mark is growing a ‘Mo’ as part of the Prostate Cancer Charity’s awareness campaign, ‘Movember’.

This event is a global phenomenon and sees men of all ages keeping their top lips unshaven during November to raise the awareness of prostate cancer.
Movember began in Australia in 2003 with just thirty participants. Since then it’s grown to over 255,000 people across the globe supporting the campaign last year. And now Mark’s one of them!

The Prostate Cancer Charity is one of Marketing Zone’s client’s charity partners. The London region of The Chartered Institute of Marketing has been supporting this charity for a number of years, so Marketing Zone wanted to get on board and show their support too.

And on the subject of male grooming, we’ve spotted a new report from YouGov SixthSense into the health and beauty market. It reveals that the metro-sexual male might not be as common as we might think. The report says that only 22% of men in the UK spend more than 20 minutes getting ready on an average day, compared to 49% of women.

So for the guys taking part in Movember, maybe they can reduce that figure to 15 minutes!
